Introduction
Winamp is a media player for the Windows PC operating system created by Nullsoft, Inc (which is a part of AOL-Time Warner). Winamp is a free media player but has a Pro version which offers features such as faster CD Burning and Ripping features for $19.95. Winamp is available at www.winamp.com.

Skins
Winamp allows the user to change the look of the media player through the use of skins. Skins change the look of Winamp's GUI, add functions or can be animated. Nullsoft keeps a directory of user submitted skins at www.winamp.com/skins/
Plug-ins
Winamp has support for plugin's which are small programs that enhance the functionality of Winamp. Popular plugin's for audio streaming are the Shoutcast DSP Plugin by Nullsoft, jetCast DSP plugin, and SAM Streaming Encoders v3.
